Strawberry Chia Seeded Pudding

Right now Chia Seeds are the hot new kid on the block. They are the big player right now on the health scene, only problem is I’m slightly afraid of them. When I first saw them in those Chiapods in the supermarket I thought they looked like frogspawn. I mean what do you even do with them? But then the other morning I had possibly the most incredible breakfast ever with them in this gorgeous coconut yoghurt and  fresh fruits, and I figured it was about time to give them a second chance. Only issue is now how to even come close to recreating it, but we gave it a good go and safe to say this is going to be a permanent feature in our fridge. It can be hard to think of breakfast ideas that are gluten free, and I struggle to eat big breakfasts every morning. I always crave something like porridge but the GF versions can be very expensive so this makes for a great and healthy alternative. If I need …

Green Soup

What is it about soup that’s so comforting? It’s not even that I’m feeling sick, just a little bit tired, a little bit jet lagged, but all I want is something homely and soothing and what could be better than a decent bowl of soup? More importantly I’m in need of a big old health boost so earlier I grabbed all the green veg I could think of that would be bursting with vitamins, fibres, and plant proteins and ended up making the most incredibly tasty soup that blows our Roasted Tomato Soup recipe out the park. This is an amazing healthy meal, it’s full of anti-oxidants and anti inflammatories, as well as iron, vitamins and lots of nutrients. So not only does it taste great but it’s so good for you too. Think of it like a soup version of a Green Smoothie… What you’ll need – 1 courgette 1 head of broccoli 1 shallot 2 sticks of celery 4 cloves of garlic bag of spinach tin of cannellini beans tin of asparagus spears …

Make a date for Drugstore Espresso

If Drugstore Espresso was a person, putting it simply you’d want to be friends with them. It’s like that kid who came into school one day wearing his dads bomber jacket and absolutely nailed it. A slick ease we can only dream of, you know the one. The whole vibe here is cool without the try-hard, from the casual industrial decor, to the 90’s hip hop your boyfriends going to claim he can rap along to and don’t even get me started on the staff. This is the type of cafe you’d want to own or at least have a mate that does so you can excuse spending your days sprawled out front in the sun working through the deli cabinet, coconut in hand. Failing this you can clearly do this anyway. Last week I went three days in a row. We are hooked. The breakfasts here are unbelievable, we are attempting to slowly work our way through the menu, because it’s instant food envy every time someone elses meal goes past. Every time I go with the intention to order something new but the Berry Beet …
